Presentation of new cameras to the Science Advisory Board of AIP

In October 2018, the Science Advisory Group (SAB) of AIP visited the campus. The main event was a guided tour of the SAB member to visit the research sections and groups at various campus locations, where poster presentations, video shows, and technical demonstrations were arrangerd. The Optical Solar Physics group prepared several posters, showing solar physics projects which are carried out at AIP. A special instrument setup was prepared which included a live demonstration of the recently acquired Imager M-lite 2M CMOS camera system by LaVision, Göttingen. Members of the SAB could see the potential of the very fast cameras which will be shipped to Observatorio del Teide, Tenerife later this year for integration in the GREGOR Fabry-Pérot Interferometer (GFPI).
